But as between 80% and 100% of subjects in the daptomycin comparison study experienced Adverse Events while on brilacidin, it's safe to assume they used a lower dose in this study.

That's probably why they were keen to get the dosing period extended to five days from the original three, presumably to get the AUC up in order to try to compensate for the lower peak serum levels.

That's a bit of a Hail Mary call with a rapidly proliferating virus that precipitates a cytokine storm, though.
