SEC is really working hard for the first time to protect investors that includes

1. companies that are not providing transparent information and filling and will be delisted (these investors will be looking for a new stocks to invest in).

2. SEC is going after Naked Short Sellers BD (Broker/Dealers) see this link for that case filed only 2 months ago:
