Yes, certain investment platforms do not allow trading stocks unless punk current....ergo once pink current these platforms open the gates on buying opportunities. Ergo...more volume.

Now you could argue "noone wants to buy this stock" however that is a biased opinion. Fact remains when platforms allow buying of the stock, yes volume does increase. Your opinion and my opinion is meaningless. Statistics will prove more shares will be purchased.
