Jesus gave 2 instances of giving---1--In Luke 19--Zacchaeus, he said if he had taken anything from anyone by false accusation he would restore four-fold----2---the widow in Luke 21---The poor old woman putting in 2 mites--all she had. This would be 2 Cooper coins, "a lepton", worth less than a half a cent, the smallest Jewish coin in circulation. Paul wrote that God loves a cheerful giver. It is not the value of the gift that is given in the sight of God, but the sacrificial generosity with which it is given. My opinion here, when it comes to giving, I find it worth-while to talk it over with God and do as the Holy Spirit directs you to do, giving is a decision to be made between you & God. Tithing is a really neat subject, see tithing was an Old Testament welfare system set up to care for the levities and the poor and the 10% is popular today, but in truthfulness there were other offerings required and I "think" all together they added up to like 22--23%, somewhere in there.....Giving should be from the heart, "a cheerful giver". Think maybe giving goes beyond money and also includes your talents & your time. Something here for you to think on

God Bless
