The east coast is turning into the leaf coast, and it’s great to see Maryland planning a 2022 ballot initiative, but it would be even better to see some additional red states on the ballot, since citizenry votes for MJ Legalization in nearly all states are expected to pass in the future

This could help garner more Republican support for SAFE Banking + some form of Federal MJ Decriminalization to pass through the current Senate

SAFE Banking is favored to pass this Senate right now — that’s the consensus out there with 8 Republican cosponsors already signed on

There are multiple legislative forms of MJ Decriminalization, and the STATES Act or Cole Memo form of MJ Decriminalization are both far more conservative and therefore have a more realistic chance of passage than the mechanism of decriminalization contained in Chuck’s current draft, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chuck’s bill language shift moving forward to reflect that reality
