Motorola has popped-up enough during my research to think it might be interesting to look at least a bit deeper. I find the results tend to be more interesting than those produced by cross-referencing CDEX and Smith&Wesson. This is my opinion, which is based upon the following...

Smith Alling Lane at National Conference of State Legislatures in Nashville
August 16th-19th 2006, Smith Alling Lane, a leading lobbying firm from Washington State, participated in the National Conference of State Legislatures’ (NCSL) annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee. State legislators around the nation attended the conference to learn about upcoming legislation. All ten of Smith Alling Lane’s Governmental Affairs professionals attended the event to share public safety technology solutions with legislators.
Smith Alling Lane hosted a booth featuring eight of the firm’s 30 clients, including Applied Biosystems, Orchid Cellmark, Prepared Response, Sagem Morpho, Motorola and others. Smith Alling Lane’s booth is quickly becoming one of the most visited booths at the conference. More than 500 legislators and staff visited the booth, where clients demonstrated DNA databasing, victim notification systems, emergency response mapping technology, interoperability communication for law enforcement, bullet tracing technology and other public safety technology. They also enjoyed video games, a putting green and a chance to win iPods, Bluetooth headsets and other prizes
Additionally, Smith Alling Lane hosted a series of events, including a luncheon for legislators to learn new methods to combat meth manufacturing, and a Motorola reception for Nashville legislators. Smith Alling Lane also joined fellow Washington State lobbyists to host Washington's 'State Night', with more than 45 attendees.
The primary concern of public safety agencies is the safety and protection of Wyoming citizens. The greater the crisis and the more dire the consequences, the more Wyoming public safety agencies need an efficient, coordinated response. Police respond with frontline rescues, chase criminals and drunk drivers at high speeds across the interstate, and apprehend drug dealers in methamphetamine labs. Fire and emergency medical personal supply rescue and damage control. To effectively aid the public, these agencies must function as a team. First responders need real-time communication to get the job done. Emergencies rarely respect geographic boundaries or jurisdictions. Public safety agencies from every level of service — state, local and federal — need day-to-day interoperability to be able to talk to one another.
Drug Exposed Children Program A heartbreaking side effect of clandestine methamphetamine labs is their impact on innocent children. It was shocking that narcotics investigators found children living in or having direct access to 40% of the structures that housed these illegal drug labs. The purpose and goal of the program is to incorporate those children found in drug labs as victims of child abuse and ensure they received appropriate medical assessments, support, care and counseling. Community involvement through both the media and neighborhood meetings allows for greater cooperation between all of the disciplines involved. The educational message is one of warning, concern and action, and that progress is measured one child at a time. After three years, 98 children have been removed from homes where drug labs were discovered, and 80% of them have tested positive for methamphetamine or one of the precursor substances. The community donates clothing and volunteers provide backpacks filled with toys and a new blanket for every child rescued.
