In the next 1-3 years my guess is the bulk of revenue comes from government space agency contracts to conduct various experiments, while the passenger tourism market really develops.

There is an estimated 1,456,336 households with a net worth of at least $10 million. So if 1% wants the limited travel experience its somewhere in the ROM of 14,500 households and probably 45,000 travelers. Basically plenty of potential real passengers.

There's also another huge market: business travel where a company will pay $1.5 million for 6 tickets for its executives and their business counterparties. That's a tax deductible expense (similar to a golf trip) and a very unique way of courting big contracts.

But I do agree with you on hypersonic point-to-point as being the really big revenue. That's already in Virgin Galatic's long-range plans with spaceship 3.
