Recently I had a discussion with some shareholders on the stocktwitts forum. I told them that at 100 km altitude you cannot see the east and west coasts of southern Africa together in one image.
They just laughed with me.
I just wanted to prove that the images from the mothership are just fake. In order to see the earth as a large sphere, you have to stand almost on the moon, as it were.
I am a land surveyor by profession and if I draw the earth with a radius of 6371 km with my drawing program and draw 2 tangent lines from a point 100 km outside the circle to the circle that represents the earth, then the distance between these 2 points of contact is only just under 2230 km.
The image they want to present to us is thus greatly exaggerated; You will not see images taken from the spaceship where the Earth is seen as a sphere.
I don't think the flight is worth $200,000. Then buy a Ferrari. That is much more fun.
