6-19-01 TriGem, Intel Korea forms tie-up
TriGem Computer, Inc. said yesterday it has formed a tie-up with Intel Korea to expand into the cable modem business. Under the deal, both companies will work to make Intel£§s built-in cable modems suitable for Korean broadband networks for future installation in domestically-sold TriGem PCs. The new modems will be the first Asian designs to be installed in computers, a TriGem spokesman said. An executive at TriGem said, "The partnership will boost our built-in cable modem business."

June 2001 - Intel Corp., the world's largest computer chipmaker, is scheduled to sell an MP3 player model with a 128MB memory from August this year in partnership with TriGem Computer, a PC maker in Korea.
