Where would the gold come from to support this system?

The story goes under the Vatican, in tunnels, hoards of gold and silver, mostly gold that was ill gotten for over the last 1000 years was recovered by special operations. That's where the pipe dreams comes into play. Who the hell knows if any of it is true!
I've seen reports of the Vatican being boarded up as well as some places in England. We all know what it's like around our own nations capital.
Again, not many reliable resources available to verify any of this.
If you are correct then we keep going down this hell hole.
If just half of what I'm reading about has any truth to it, we have a lot to look forward.
I take everything I learn with a healthy grain of salt!
