Re sell signals. Think of the ancient joke about economists who predicted 15 of the last three recessions. The multitude of false alarms is devastating to investing performance. And If you do sell, you've got to figure out when to reenter the market, not a trivial decision. Did anyone on this planet liquidate his stocks in February 2020 and return fully in March 2020??? Not one of the gurus I follow did.

And you've got all those taxes to pay.

So if you have quality stocks, especially solid div payers, it's better to snooze thru the sell signals.
