Profit on gold sales won’t initially be taxed. Your argument of acquiring debt to reach sustainably won’t hold water once in profit. It will actually allow Mexus to avoid taxes for a bit of time going forward.
Profit is always taxed. Paying off debt lowers profits, however, most debt accumumlated by Mexus has been paid through dilution of stock. Unless the company buys back shares, that debt can't be used as a tax deduction.
