I saw something this morning in the Luke study that I had never thought on before and I am still letting it sink in, but certainly worth giving thought to....I have always given much thought to the miracles which Jesus performed, the miracle was my main focus, for me making it the story's end, But , the miracles maybe secondary, the real climax to the story should be on the sayings of Jesus. My study referred me to John 4:46-53-----I noticed verse 48..."unless you see signs and wonders, your will by no means believe"-----I thought of how true this rings out today, "IF" we do not see instant results for what we want, we drift away. John MacArthur says in his notes---The disregard for the person of Christ and centered on the constant display of miraculous signs, is the deepest state of unbelief. Which got me to remember that Paul in his writings taught "We walk by faith not by sight."----As I read back over this 2 things I thought on, my focus should be on my faith and I have to maintain my faith to ensure I do not start to drift away. Drifting away is just a gradual, slow process of accepting the thoughts of the world and not the teachings from God. A little something here for you folks to think on. I could go on & on, but but then that would be my opinion, your thoughts on your belief/faith is what will draw you closer to God, I reckon if we get to thinking on God then in a strange way we are talking with God.
