The world has changed dramatically with phone apps and on-line ordering. It is baffling to my generation, but for the most part, people would rather order on-line versus going to a store anymore. If you look at Ubereats, Doordash, etc, etc. People will pay more for their food by ordering through those sites then going to pick up the food for themselves. In a lot of cases the restaurant would have their own delivery service that is cheaper, but people would rather order with an Ubereats phone app. Go figure?
People don't buy the same way anymore. My generation would think it's crazy to pay $10 more for their food, but this generation thinks nothing of it for the most part.
So no, I don't think not having it in stores will hurt them. But I do believe we could eventually see it happening in all potential retail outlets.
