Hi all, another financial year has come to an end for ASIP and F22 should be a lot better than what we have all had to endure over the past 12 months.

On the upside, it resulted in several major milestones for the fflya program. In the second half of 2020 while dealing with lockdown globally, we were able to setup three organizations in the UK to engineer, certify, manufacture, and deliver the world’s first airline Bluetooth inflight connectivity installation kit. This was coordinated with our core suppliers in Canada (antenna cell), USA (satellite radio and Bluetooth Chip) and Switzerland (CPU vendor) all impacted by Covid.

Three months later we completed the installation on the A321 and successfully executed all ground testing. This also included aircraft interference, system performance on both our unique Bluetooth network and the world’s first Window antennas. Plus, the airline completed its functional testing.

Two months on and we have been in preparation for passenger flights and operational approval.

Multiple aspects are involved, primarily airline procedural and finalizing the passenger app user interfaces, both Android and Apple. Engineering a secure compartment for our router to protect it from passenger interference. It is in the overhead baggage locker.

Note: For a fleet install it would be on top of the locker, as it would be an automated system. For flight trial, we need easy access so we can reconfigure it for the various stages of implementation.

While free passenger texting is our launch core service supported by interactive advertising, we plan to test live credit card processing and Telemetry.

I am pleased to advise we committed to a launch date of July 31st. This is subject to Wizz final approval.

While the rest of this year for airlines will continue to be a challenge, Wizz recently announced it expects to be back to full operation in 2022.

I will update you more as the program as it evolves.
