An enormous dropout (LTFU) number in this trial would not be surprising.

Questions:

1. Is sample size an important function of designing a clinical trial so that it has the power to achieve statistical results?

2. Aren't trials designed with additional participants to account for LTFU potential?

3. What is the minimum number of trial participants necessary at the conclusion of this trial in order to achieve the requisite number of evaluable participants?
