Just seems as if I cannot go but a few verses without either gaining knowledge or wondering about something I do not understand. Yesterday I made mention that I was going through the Gospel of Luke again and would do a few post on things that rang a bell with me....Well, I went through chap.4 yesterday , this morning I opened Luke to chap5, but noticed a hi-lited passage from chap4, and I got to thinking...If you open your Bible to Luke chap4 verse 18, down a couple lines it says "He sent me to heal the broken hearted."---This is in the NKJV, other translations omitted this, I have always wondered why, and still have no idea, it is such a great message for a pastor to share. We see where this passage is a quote from Isaiah 61:1-2, anyway in Isaiah. it says the part about healing the brokenhearted. I have noticed that this is just skimmed over in my study Bibles and in some of mine not even mentioned, not saying they are wrong, just saying I don't get it and that is on me. But allow me to share a thought or 2. When I look at the ministry of Jesus, He was indeed the One who healed those of a broken heart. Jesus not only touched life at the high point of joy and power and the good times. Jesus bought the consciousness of the presence of God not only on the good times of life but also down in those valleys that we all travel from time to time. Sort of reminds me of that old song, "Never a burden that He does not carry, Never a sorrow that He does not share--------Jesus is always there". Jesus did not give us a Spirit of fear, but a Spirit of power. I have often made mention that in our hard times we need "strength and courage" to endure, to me & I believe that Spirit has been here for us from that time back in history until today. Whenever a Christian in their sorrow and brokenhearted times, "IF" they think on Jesus and the Holy Spirit, "IF" they reach out, comfort is always there. A Christian may not understand it, may not be to explain to another, but there is a newness in the way they feel, when reaching out to God for help. I know there are those who may say "Hog Wash", but they do not experience that which a Christian experiences, and this is the love of God walking by their side.

Just an ending thought, when it all hits the fan and you are way down and life seems to be passing you on, just give it a try, reach out and say---"God I need some help here and talk your down trodden issues over with God."----Life is way too short not to give it a try.

God Bless
