This morning I was lead to start going through the Gospel of Luke again. I am looking for stuff on forgiveness or being forgiven and at the same time allow the Scripture to speak to me, so reckon over the next few days I will be making remarks about whatever has jumped out at me....This morning from Chapter 4 where satan tempted Jesus, there is one of those temptations that popped out to me...
"then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, "all this authority I will give you, and their glory; For this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom ever I wish. Therefore, if you will worship before me, all will be yours."
AND Jesus said to him, "get behind me, satan ! For it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve."
I got to thinking on this as happening to folks of today, what is it that the devil is offering you & me which draws us away from God? Rather than share my thoughts, I thought maybe it was best to leave the thinking up to you, maybe take a look at one's own self, maybe give a bit of thought to gov't officials, and the list could go on & on, but rather than me sharing my thoughts "You" think on it a bit..Notice the devil said " I give it to whom ever I wish".
