The name “Hut 8” refers to the building at Bletchley Park where Alan Turing created his world-changing Enigma decoding machine during World War II.
The way this company is run is far from the brilliance of Alan Turing. They must actually be referring to the Outhut behind Hut 8. The one where Alan would sit and think while, ah, hutting.
