OH ME !! The other day I spoke of my brother and how he was entering his last days, well Saturday afternoon I received that phone call that told me my brother had passed. As sad as it was I was so thankful he did no lay and suffer for weeks upon weeks. Neal was just a few days short of 82 yr. old, he had a very good life, he was a Christian as he accepted Jesus as his savior years & years ago. Many times I have read the Epistle of James, I even one time taught a Bible Study on James, I thought I sort of understood the writings of James, but, the truth, nothing teaches better than life experiences. James 2:18--"Someone will say you have faith and I have works. Show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works". Over the years my brother did various functions in the church, but the one thing he did without even knowing he was doing it, was sharing his faith through his works, doing good for others and not knowing you are doing good is a really wonderful gift to have, and Neal had that gift. I will be 78 in a few weeks but if I started telling the things my brother did for me I would be here for days and probably bore you folks to death, as a little kid he taught me to kick & throw a football, how to tackle and how to try to avoid being tackled, before I ever had a learners permit to drive a car, he took me on an old back road and taught me to drive his 1954 Ford, straight shift with Overdrive, he told me, if you want to learn to drive a car you have to know how to drive a stick, he taught me his fishing stuff in the Bay, he helped me build my 24x40 garage, from the concrete floor to the laying on of the shingles....I have only scratched the surface here, but he carried the same life with all the folks he was around....you are doing something he was there to help....when he was at the Bay, where he had his camper and spent months there, rarely a day passed that someone there did not need help with something, either their golf-cart, their trailer needed a repair, whatever, they came banging on his door and he "always" had the helping hand ready to serve his friend.....never, ever expected anything I return, well maybe a thank you, but that was it. I could go on & on but you get the picture, Neal will be greatly missed. A good husband, a good father, a good PaPa, a good brother & a good friend. Was my brother perfect , NOPE and far from it, did my brother believe---undoubtablly YES. When my father passed and I spoke a few words at his final service I ended and choose to do so here---to my brother I believe God will say---"Well done, my good and faithful servant"-------

God Bless & thanks for the prayers for us all through these hard times.....
