It would seem everyone including myself were hoping and picking a conservative justice to write the opinion on this, if it is a good outcome for us. What if it ends up being one of the justices who is seen as leaning more liberal? Meaning, if the opinion is good for us and we get a 7-2 decision or better, wouldn't it stand to reason that if one of the liberal justices is in the majority, that they (the majority) would have that liberal justice write the majorities opinion to possibly alleviate any blow back from the current administration? This would also signal that they are ruling as to the law and not politics.
Curious to hear your opinion on this or anyone elses.
