That was an ideological battle waged by millions of buyers. I was even hitting the ask for $5 at a time just to help out the cause. If $HGEN starts to plummet there’s no army of people to hold the line. Those people were willing to go big or go home, many with few regrets either way. Some did very well, some held bags. My belief is that the HGEN investment community is a much different group, with different objectives. Most of us have an investment thesis, rather than investment thesis fueled by the prospect of sticking it to Wall Street. MWM lived it, but that’s my take from the outside.
