The minor value added by GPRS is small compared to full 3G services. When we actually get Real 3G, people will be amazed at what can be accomplished with a handset.

How do you know this? Do you consider 1X to be "Real 3G." I regularly use a PCS Vision handset and have even used a DO handset. I'm afraid that I'm still waiting for the "amazement" to set.
