The PR says the first NFT game, you can tell they will do more. My suspicion is they will build a platform where 3rd party developers can create the games going forward. The developers get paid by selling the original NFTs, in Microbuddies case the original Microbes would go to the 3rd party developer.

2 style of NFT games, 1 where items are sold as collectibles and players earn money. Original NFT games some of these could be worth a ton of money in the future. I'd say the first few hundred games like Microbuddies will have the NFTs be worth tons. The other is where NFTs are created, and the players buy/sell/trade to other users. These will be weapons/skins/secret maps/etc. Imagine as a player in these games having 1 of 1 of a certain weapon that nobody else has? You could even have high value NFT's that can only be created from an original release of NFT from the game itself. Sort of like a weapon/skin that is more powerful than most others. The player can hold onto it and dominate, or sell the thing to the highest bidder.
