I think it boils down to opinions and preferences. There are a heck of a lot of people in both camps: 1) thinking twitter exchanges with endless detractors makes him look good because he cares what strangers online say & will defend himself and his company 2) thinking twitter exchanges with endless detractors makes him look bad & doesn't actually help anything nor provide any true clarity to anyone.

We only have proof of one thing, though: It leads to even more negative comments online, more ridicule and indefensible nit-picking. I say indefensible because certain conclusions can't be disproven until data drops.

It just ends up blah blah blah on both sides. I hate to see GK allowing himself to be seen in that light, but I do understand why you like it. Similar to teaching some respect to a bully who needed a punch in the face.
