Being included in the Russell 3000 is a good thing, but let's not forget that it is a LAGGING indicator, not a leading indicator. It is a function of past share prices. not predictive of the future.

What would be more interesting is an analysis of how the stocks added to the Russell 3000 in each of the last 10 years over the year following the inclusion of each in the index. Obviously, in a mega-bull market like we have seen, the market cap had to be growing to get into the Russell. Did that growth continue? I have no clue what the answer to that question is.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
