This is a great thing. But I don't agree with this comment and believe they should have done everything possible to reveal and embarrass the tRump and moron administration at the time. No one directly involved with tRump, acting on his behalf or following orders deserves any respect. Sounds like a few advisors were left over from tRump early on and were still doing damage control. But President Biden corrected the tRump lawsuit coup and Bolton is free and doesn't have to pay. tRump was trying to take the money bolton had made at that point.

From an examination of the publicly available materials about Mr. Bolton’s case, the Biden transition advisers concluded that the department had acted in a highly political manner. Some advisers contended it would set a bad precedent for the executive branch if top national security officials were forced to produce documents or testimony, according to a person familiar with those conversations.

It would be better to drop the lawsuit altogether, some advisers concluded, and for the Biden administration to focus on revising the prepublication review process, the person said.
