If someone lied about their job, or coerced another employee to cheat on the job and you get kickbacks or threatening coworkers, you would be fired as soon as it was found. Full stop. No discussion.
But if you're elected and pull worse than that for a whole year like hundreds of republiqans have done, all they get is pulled from some commission, like this is going to hurt them.

That's akin in the private sector telling an embezzler to give back the money and take 3 days off and come back to work.

Completely frustrating from a citizens point of view.
