Babbling Bee fails at humor again, because underlying truth is missing.

There seemed to be no shortage of people who showed up for our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and fiberglass playgrounds have been around for a long time predating those wars.

1950s-1970s: Novelty Playgrounds. (Think of rocket ships, slides, animal shapes, imaginative tunnels and shapes, still made of metal.)

1970s-1980s: Standardized Playgrounds. (Think of rounded edges and hard plastic equipment -- a response to rising concerns about playground safety.)

1980s-present: Modern Playgrounds. (A surge in imaginative playgrounds with safe surfaces, varying themes and materials.)

Funny how none of that shit has reduced the supply of HS and college football players either.

The world is scary. And that’s the truth the kids need to know. Now, if they can get through all that without being horribly mangled, they’ll be ready the next time the world needs people to charge into machine gunfire. Well, don’t go straight into it — zig-zag a little, it’s safer.

Actually the training for such includes laying down a base of fire, flanking movement, fire, maneuver, fire maneuver, zig zagging included.
