Apple Inc (AAPL)

A new incarnation of Spot arrived today, as did my copy of Panther. Dilleet's not the only lucky one. They sent me a brand new 10GB iPod this time, shrinkwrapped, in the box, current newest incarnation.

Since I wanted a bigger one this seems like the optimal time to sell this one on eBay. Brand new in the box it should fetch very close to the retail price, and I can apply that money toward the bigger iPod. So I feel pretty lucky even though I'm still sans an iPod I can actually use while all this is going on. Anyone have a cheap source to recommend for a new 40GB iPod?

Happy to see the lovely Panther box and that installations reported here have gone so well. If no one loses functionality that I personally would need by the week-end, that's when I'll install my cat. Unless I can't stand to wait that long. :)

Kevin: Good for you on the new Apple shares and good luck with them. I hope and expect they'll be profitable before long.

Remember, when you think about Cotton's issues that he has lost functionality when he has upgraded at times (his Java problems) so that may make him more reluctant to upgrade where there aren't strong reasons to do it.
