If HERA ceases to be law all in theory all action taken by FHFA could be void. Although that may seem to upend everything it may not be as bad as it seems because a new constitutional agency/regulator could affirm previous decisions. They could narrow the ruling strictly based on providing relief to shareholders. Other issue I have long stated is standing. Scotus could deny based on this threshold matter.

I don't agree much with carlos at all but he is right in that the collins plaintiffs potentially screwed this case big time by not going far enough and not asking for enough. I suspect they took on Thompson because it didn't cost them anything and he is likely being funded by large players. The large players may indeed have nefarious intentions. Collins et al are obviously not controlling the case or the direction of the case and they have virtually no say in the matter because the case is likely on contingency in which they didn't put up any funds to pay for the lawsuit.
