Same as tranche loans for houses. Tranche loans for houses are rated C+, B+, or A+. Well the same goes with empty tickers, they are classified similarly, the ones with the most share structure becomes a risk for SPAC managers so they would put empty tickers with a miniscule share structure in a higher category meaning that anyone wanting those will have to pay a premium, meanwhile the ones with a high share structure pays basement prices for them.
