I have followed ARG for many years, and have successfully.traded it a few times. What defines them IMO is that they are a marginal producer, and have almost gone under several times, which in turn means you can do well if you can catch them when copper is on the upswing.
Speaking honestly, I would not have bought ARG right now, at a time when copper seems have have hit at least an intermediate term top. If copper continues to move up, you will do well, but most analysts don't think that will happen, and China seems determined to keep the price of copper from moving any higher.
In any case, good luck to you. I hope I am wrong, because that means copper prices have resumed moving up or at least stayed around where they are, which in turns bodes well for my investments in KDK, IVN, MN, and a few other copper plays.
