PLUG do not build hydro electric facilities

they are buying excess electricity at dirt cheap prices from utilities that generate clean electricity - hydro solar wind etc

the price may depend on the distance the utility has to send it - the NY STAMP site is 30 miles but the power lines are all there. The PA site is next door to the hydro electric generating station and in TExas the APEX facilities I suspect are just on the main power grid form the solar farms.

So long as PLUG is buying the electricity at really cheap rates with ability to get it even lower in future we don't need to really know the physics of where it is coming from.
