It seems like the DOJ works this way in many cases. Rene accepted the SEC punishment of a 3 year ban and 50K fine. She's listed as CEO1 in the Schena and Haje documents. The DOJ might come after her too. I tend to also believe the investigation is ongoing so others may be uncovered.
There's also other current outstanding lawsuits against the company.
Now that 4 have plead guilty in their role in the fraud/conspiracy it can open the door to people/shareholders and vendors/clients coming after the board of directors personally. That's yet to be seen.
No matter how you slice it, it's an unenviable position to be in.
