thanks for your thoughts on that snels12. I was under the impression it was only 3 or 4 from several other releases (one said 'multiple'), so was surprised to see the mention of 12 -- better than I thought.

The targeted ads I think were for physical locations using beacons inside the units, I thought, so wouldn't be an issue with radio stations, I thought.

But 12 or even 20 in beta testing isn't 12 or 20 in commercial use. From how I've read the communication beta testing either is 'ongoing' or has been halted pending further funding.

Surely the beta testing itself was not anticipated to cost much money, so I fear they discovered something they didn't anticipate that requires significant funding -- otherwise why haven't they gone commercial with even just the 12? But again, maybe they prefer for some reason to deploy a bunch commercially at the same time as opposed to just a few.
