I hope you know that the same shares can trade multiple times in one day. And each trade is counted.

For example, you buy 1000 share in the morning and sell 30 minutes later to take short term profits. Those 1000 shares, when they are bought from you, counts as ANOTHER 1,000 shares. Those shares are held, for example, for 4 hours and sold--another 1,000 shares counted. But the end of the day, those original shares you bought may have changed hands 5 times--and counted as 5,000 shares traded.

And no shares were manufactured.
