Cotton: Panther, Java

Island and aaplTalk both work in Panther using Applet Launcher. I gave up trying to make Scottrader streamer work in Jaguar. if you ever have any luck making it work in Jaguar I would love to know the details.

I am calling Apple Support tomorrow because Applet Launcher works fine on the G4 922hz desktop but is goofy on the PBG4. It acts like it isn't launched yet it shows in the dock. I can't quit it from the dock and must use forced quit.

Besides Expose, I too didn't have any pressing need for Panther. It just feels better though. Everything is much crispier. I must have gotten use to the brushed metal look because I can't remember what Jaguar looked like. It still irrates me the date is grayed out under the time menu. What's with that?

The Help feature is starting to lag way behind. Also, I would like to see some services; namely, spell checking in each application.

Cotton: I took one of my 17" LCDs with me while boating around the Bering Sea. On two different occasions it hit the deck from the charting table; a 39" drop. Don't ask. Anyway, the monitor still works but I broke an aluminum bracket that fits in the foot spring gizmo. I have a repair shop working on a replacement as epoxy wasn't strong enough to make the repair.

Don't give up. Your town could be the assembler of the new Boeing 7E7. It is starting to sound like Boeing wants out of Washington State in the worse way.
