I did a quick google search, I found that Brian L. Roberts, is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast that owns CNBC.

There's a reason that was named the "Worst Company in America" in 2010 and 2014. ... The 2015 ACSI survey placed Comcast at or close to the bottom of primary company rankings in TV, Internet, and phone service.

No doubt, Brian Roberts has an investment reason for CNBC to spread FUD.
