Supporters – including the embattled NRA – refer to this bill as "constitutional carry" and point to the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.

In that case go no further than the first clause in the 2nd Amendment:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary

They want to use that for "constitutional carry"? Then fine, they can get their asses out onto a parade ground, once a month. the entire weekend, and drill around like toy soldiers in the fashion of a "well regulated Militia".
