ODP Refresher: Office Depot's Cuban property claim

The U.S. Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, a unit of the U.S. Justice Department, certified the Cuban Electric claim to be worth $267 million. After 55 years and based on a 6 percent annual interest rate, the asset could be worth four times that certified amount, according to a recently published estimate by The Boston Globe.
