I was a member of SI mainly lurking on you guys trying to devine your picks and never posting on SI once, same with the shell board. I was terrified of the internet, once I got caught in my first browser trap I believed every horror story out there. The first time I logged onto the shell board 3 or 4 four of you guys greeted me which caused me to flee like a scalded dog 'how could they know I had logged in?' Even tho' I had been using a closed in system at work for 10 years, DOS, I wasn't ready for the internet in the wild.
That changed when I found RB in late '98 and then you couldn't shut me up. I don't know how I found Jim B. so quickly after first logging on with an AOL disc, but it was a blessing.
