Notice how they've switched from saying 24% to 31% at 28 days? That is because they are playing numbers games. Efficacy is 24%. That is because the mortality in placebo is 36.84% and that is 24% larger than mortality in leronlimab arm of 27.90%. But for the same reason 3 is 50% larger than 2 but 2 is 33% smaller than 3, 27.90 is 31% smaller than 36.84.

So 82% is not the efficacy at 14 days! Using the same proportion of 24/31, efficacy at 28 days would be 63%! Hahahahaha! They've been lying to you. Well actually, they never use the word efficacy when giving the 82% number. They say things like "improvement in mortality" because there is a scientific method to using the term efficacy and they would have to say efficacy is about 63% instead of 82%. 63% efficacy doesn't sound nearly as good as 82% efficacy.

The FDA sees through numbers games like this.
