Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) plans to introduce the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment and Expungement ("MORE") Act as soon as next week, Marijuana Moment reports.

The legislation would federally legalize marijuana by removing it from the list of controlled substances and eliminate criminal penalties for its manufacture, distribution, and possession.

A similar version of the bill passed the House last year, but died in the Senate.

One change from the earlier version is that Small Business Administration aid can be used to assist those targeted in the war on drugs in any industry, rather than just a cannabis-related one.
