Now THIS is awesome news! Mescaline is the red heaed step child of the psychedlic world. Most have never tried it, or its source, the peyote cactus. Of all the entheogenic plants and compounds out there, I would say mescaline has the greatest potential for long term healing potential. Unlike the other psychedelics like psilocybin and LSD, which often take the user on an incomprehensible other-worldy journey, mescaline is very much of the here and now. Having a base structure more similar to amphetamine rather than serotonin, it tends to provude a sense of great physical energy and well being. The urge to walk and commune with nature is at times overwhelming, which in itself a healing experience.
Definitely a substance worthy of scientific study.
