There is no such thing as mm signals. Computers don't generate signals. People do. There are no human brokers in the otc. This is 2021, not 2001.
what those numbers actually mean is that they are what's left over after a larger number of shares of a given order have been filled. People buy a million or sell a million all the time. The mm will only buy or sell enough to meet their spread. What's left over is the 'bits' of orders that have not yet filled. L2 shows partial trades, not complete trades, unless they are AON (all or none) which few people use.
If you sell 10M shares, it may be completed in 50 trades (tranches). Each of those will show up on L2l. Then the uninformed will assume the numbers 'mean something'. No, they do not.
