well my "moaners" theory has overall been profitable.
however, there were some dogs. I am attempting to follow lowtrade's advice (and not buy anything under .01--although if i do, i won't spend more than $300 and i make certain the longs are howling, the dilution has stopped and lowtrade's 9 months's of stalled plotlines are in effect.)
I am happy to take a double. Seeing if i can double my initial (starting jan 07) pink budget of $5000 every month for example--i'm up 50% and if bign pans out--i'll be happy!)
I've made far more money on my tsx picks over all--tembec: in@.90 currently nearing $3.00; too.v was a double (likely a triple plus before the end of the year) NCR.v i tripled. I usually invest 10X the amount in a tsx.v stock than i would in a pinkie. However, it's interesting to note that some ppl are making a ton of money in pinks--I pay special attention to strongus, stock lobster, lowtrade, pink lawyer and a few others: they all move in and out of stocks quickly--maybe 2 weeks max stay in a stock. Yes i made some mistakes last year--going long on aurc, eqbm, dkgr, spzi and others. Interesting to note i've made very little money with that strategy.
As for the astrological observations: well i'll say libras make terrible investors as i seem to always be giving advice to them! I'm always telling my libran friends when to buy and sell; amusing to see them lose money when they don't take my advice. As a sagittarian, I'll say we would make excellent stock brokers--we love promoting, giving advice, selling, thinking ahead; sometimes we get caught up in future profit potential and forget little details like "do i have enough money to buy this stock today?" or we're so impatient we forget why we bought the stock in the first place! Virgo's love TA; capricorns make excellent investors but usually buy a stock based on someone else's tip; pisces--forget it unless it's real estate!; aquarians are addicted to buying stocks but can't pull the sell trigger. I will report more of my findings later, lol.
I too have problems of when to sell: i am very impatient and impulsive; i tend to buy first, research later then fall in and out of love with the stock; basically i know the rules and how to make money but i'm rebellious and tend to ignore the rules! Much to my broker's delight. Lol.
