There are many reasons why a company issues new shares, everything from employee options, to raising capital. It usually comes in cycles, so over the past year we hired some new people, we had some debt convert into equity, we had some warrants get exercised, all of which contributed to the issuance of new shares. However we also saw an increase in share price over the past year, an increase in liquidity, and increase in total number of shareholders and a reduction of debt on the balance sheet.
