Question for the board concerning pre and after hours trading. Noticed I can do this with Fidelity. So I just talked with a Fidelity rep I asked him why this is a special feature, that the extension of hours just extends the trading. No big deal in my opinion. Then he gets curt with me and tells me
"it's because the market is volatile at this time".

Now I ask you all, what could have been more volatile then 2pm last Friday afternoon during regular trading hours with $AMC?

I proceeded to tell him that the market is liable to be very volatile
as a whole during the coming weeks and that I know why. Didn't mention AMC,
Citadel, Melvin, or other HFs. I just left it at that. I mean, it's not like I'm asking to borrow against my margin (I never ever use my margin, just my money).

So my question is, why not have the option of extended hours? What are the pros and cons?
