You see, the VERY expensive CEO is paying himself mainly for being a website developer

Wow. Let's have a reality check, here.

The websites are only a tiny fraction of what he does in running the company. He has to negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers, plan for hiring, office space and warehouse space, deal with stock issues, work with the accountant (he probably tracks revenue and expenses himself then turns things over to the accountant to make reports), supervise the employees, train new employees, do HR stuff, and probably much more. I imagine he's at least involved partially in payroll, at the very least in approving employee timecards.

It's a small operation and he has many hats to wear.
